In addition to the development aspect, website administration is a significant component of this role. Website administrators are responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and up-to-date content of the company’s website. This involves regularly monitoring the website for potential issues, performing routine updates, improving the design and usability and implementing necessary security measures to protect against vulnerabilities. Effective website administration ensures a seamless user experience and upholds the organization’s reputation online. Collaboration is also a key aspect of this role. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies. Child themes & custom plugins, Gutenberg blocks/patterns, ACF, REST/JSON integrations; hooks/filters
- Ensure functionality, responsiveness, and user-friendliness across all sites.
- Monitor and optimize website performance, security, and reliability.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs or technical issues.
- Perform regular updates, backups, and plugin/theme maintenance.
- Implement website improvements and new features following current web standards.
- Coordinate with team members to align technical work with organizational goals.
- Advise on technical needs, and support recruitment of additional specialists when required.
- Stay informed about new technologies, tools, and best practices in web development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical:
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and basic SQL.
- Familiarity with Git, Bootstrap, and responsive-design principles.
- Understanding of website hosting, domains, and security best practices.
- Nice-to-Have technical skills:
- GeoDirectory, MemberPress, Budyboss.
- Advanced Gutenberg/ACF (CPTs, taxonomies, meta, templates)
- REST/JSON integrations; hooks/filters.
- Soft Skills:
- Great self-learning capacity and initiative.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Clear communication and teamwork ability.
- Self-management, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Languages:
- Working knowledge of English (essential for programming)
- Fluent in one of the following languages: Spanish, Portugues, English.

- Over 18 years old, with capacity to provide legal receipts for payments.
- Junior: 18 to 25 years old. Up to 3 years of experience in the field.
- Degree or coursework in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Or Relevant certifications or demonstrable portfolio or knowdlege of web programming and development projects.
