Role Overview

The Community & Growth Manager will help build and grow the platform’s user base and content ecosystem.

This role combines:

• content creation and management

• community engagement and moderating

• digital marketing

• basic product testing

• outreach to potential partners and members

At the early stage of the project, the position will play a key role in shaping how the community grows and interacts with the platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Management

Publish and manage content on the platform.

Tasks include:

• publish and format articles in WordPress

• upload photos and media

• create destination pages

• ensure content quality and consistency

• provide feedback on webspaces, bugs and improvements needed

2. Community Management

Build and nurture the user community.

Tasks include:

• respond to comments and messages

• moderate discussions

• welcome new members

• encourage user contributions

• identify active community member

3. Community Growth

Help attract new users to the platform.

Tasks include:

• outreach to birdwatching guides and organizations

• invite birding clubs and communities

• identify potential contributors

• propose collaborations

4. Marketing Support

Assist in developing and implementing a basic marketing strategy.

Tasks include:

• manage newsletters

• schedule social media posts

• help develop campaigns

• analyze engagement metrics

• propose growth strategies

5. Educational Content

Help create educational material.

Examples:

• online course

• how-to articles

• webinars or workshops

6. Platform Testing

Work with the developer to test new features.

Tasks include:

• test new functionalities

• report bugs

• evaluate usability

• suggest improvements
